# Turn practice observations into a coach conversation
More time on the field. Less time in the office.

Audience: players
Status: downloadable reflection guide. Not a live journal, skill grade or prescribed training plan.
An AI account is optional. Your coach remains responsible for agreed soccer development priorities.

## Outcome and inputs
Outcome: a short reflection and one specific question to discuss with the coach.
Inputs: completed practice, coach-stated objective, one or two remembered observations,
private notes and coach feedback when available. Use anonymous role labels, not names.

## My reflection
- Practice reference (no exact location needed):
- Coach's stated learning objective:
- If unclear, my question about the objective:
- One moment I remember:
- What I actually did / what happened:
- What I am unsure I remember correctly:
- What I think it might mean (not a proven cause):
- My one question for the coach:

## Five-step routine
1. Write the coach's actual objective in your own words. If unclear, ask; do not invent one.
2. Describe one observable moment, not a self-rating. Do not invent counts or percentages.
3. Keep observation and interpretation separate. A single error does not establish its cause
or a definitive skill grade. Do not rank or criticize teammates.
4. Form one question linked to the objective. Optional AI may shorten your wording, but it
did not observe practice and cannot certify what happened or why.
5. Discuss at an appropriate check-in. Record the coach's answer separately.
A proposed next focus becomes agreed only when the coach confirms it.
Do not add sessions or change training load based on an assistant's response.

## Fictional entry
Objective: check the space before receiving.
Observation: I remember looking behind me in the last activity. I do not know how often.
Interpretation: I still felt rushed on some passes; I am not sure why.
Question: What cue should tell me when to look?
Coach response: [blank until discussed]
Proposed next focus: [blank]
Confirmed by coach/date: [blank]
This is an illustrative learning reflection, not an individualized prescription.

## Coach conversation record
- Coach's actual response:
- Proposed focus (not yet agreed):
- Coach-confirmed focus:
- Confirmation date:
- What I will notice in the next coach-led activity:
- Question still open:
Do not rewrite your original observations as if you knew the coach's answer beforehand.

## Optional wording prompt for an approved assistant
Help me organize this anonymous practice reflection in plain language.
Separate observations, uncertain memories, interpretations and one question for my coach.
Use only the facts I supply. Do not claim you watched me or diagnose a mistake.
Do not invent counts, percentages, ratings or comparisons with teammates.
Do not prescribe extra training, change my workload or label a focus coach-approved.
Leave the coach-response section blank. Do not message anyone or store this in a team system.
Coach-stated objective: [paste anonymous wording]
My observation/uncertainty: [paste]
My draft question: [paste]
Return: concise reflection | one coach question | information still unknown.

## Privacy and review checkpoint
Keep notes private. Use only age-appropriate, club-approved assistance under applicable
parent/guardian guidance. Do not include children's names, teammate judgments, private feedback,
exact locations or medical information in an unapproved tool.
If unsure whether a tool is approved, complete this worksheet without AI.
